Why Choose SAGreens Microgreen Seeds?
Microgreens are only as good as the seeds they grow from. Low-quality or old seeds produce weak, uneven growth — or fail to germinate at all. SAGreens sources and tests every batch before sale. Our seeds are grown organically, free of synthetic pesticides, non-GMO, and selected specifically for microgreen production — not repurposed garden seeds.
Batch-Tested Germination
Every lot is germination-tested. Sunflower 98%, radish 95%, broccoli 96%. You know what to expect before the first tray.

How to Grow Microgreens from Seeds at Home (India)
Microgreens are the easiest crop you can grow at home in India. No garden needed — a kitchen shelf, windowsill, or small balcony is enough. The basic process is the same whether you live in humid Chennai or dry Delhi:
- 1Fill a shallow tray with pre-moistened cocopeat (2–3 cm deep)
- 2Spread seeds evenly — no overlapping
- 3Cover and keep in a dark, warm spot for 2–4 days (blackout phase)
- 4Move to indirect light. Water gently once or twice daily
- 5Harvest at 5–10 cm height by cutting just above the soil

Frequently Asked Questions
Which microgreen seeds are best for beginners in India?
Radish and sunflower seeds are the easiest. Radish germinates in 2–3 days and harvests in 6–8 days — fast, forgiving, and works in all Indian climates. Sunflower is slightly slower (7–10 days) but produces large, filling microgreens with a nutty flavour.
How long do microgreen seeds take to germinate in India?
In typical Indian conditions (22–35°C), most microgreen seeds germinate in 2–4 days. Warmer climates like South India or summer in North India speed up germination; AC rooms or North India winter slow it slightly.
Do I need to soak microgreen seeds before planting?
Soak sunflower seeds for 8–12 hours. Radish can be planted without soaking. Do not soak small seeds like broccoli or mustard — they become sticky. Soaking sunflower seeds reduces time to harvest by 1–2 days.
How many grams of seeds do I need per tray?
For a standard 10×20 inch tray: sunflower 100–120g, radish 25–30g, broccoli 10–15g. SAGreens sells seeds in 100g and 250g packs — enough for multiple growing cycles.
Does SAGreens ship microgreen seeds across India?
Yes. We ship to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Pune, and all Indian cities. Most orders arrive in 3–5 days. Pune orders same or next day.
