Buy Microgreen Seeds in Hyderabad — Germination Tested Before Dispatch
NPOP-certified organic seeds from a three-generation farming family in Pune. Untreated, non-GMO and germination tested at 85 to 96 percent before dispatch, delivered across Hyderabad and Secunderabad in 2 to 3 days.
Key Takeaways
- Every SAGreens batch is germination tested before dispatch, typically 85 to 96 percent, with the figure for your batch available on request.
- All seed is NPOP-certified organic, untreated and non-GMO, with no fungicide coating - the quality standard a raw-eaten crop requires.
- Wholesale rates start at 500g per variety, saving roughly 25 to 45 percent per gram, rising to 40 to 60 percent at 1kg and above.
- Seeds reach Hyderabad and Secunderabad in 2 to 3 days over roughly 560km, free above ₹499.
- The Deccan plateau climate, moderate humidity at around 500m elevation, makes Hyderabad easier to grow in than any coastal Indian city.
Hyderabad has one of the best climates in India for microgreens and one of the most active terrace-gardening communities, but very little reliable seed supply. Nurseries around Bowenpally, Ameerpet and the Gudimalkapur flower market sell field vegetable seed meant for outdoor planting, often fungicide-coated and rarely sold with a germination figure. That is the wrong input for a crop harvested in seven days and eaten raw. SAGreens ships NPOP-certified organic microgreen seeds across Hyderabad and Secunderabad, untreated, non-GMO and germination tested before every dispatch, with the batch figure available on request. At roughly 560km from our Pune farm, Hyderabad is also one of our fastest delivery routes outside Maharashtra. For the full buying guide see our microgreen seeds Hyderabad guide.

Why Hyderabad Growers Buy Seed From SAGreens
Germination Tested Before Every Dispatch
We test each batch and record the result before it ships, typically 85 to 96 percent depending on variety. Ask for your batch figure and we will give it to you. Most sellers cannot, because they have never tested.
Best Quality: NPOP Organic and Untreated
Certified organic under India's National Programme for Organic Production, untreated, non-GMO, with no fungicide coating. Field seed sold for outdoor planting is often chemically treated and unsafe on a crop eaten raw within days.
Wholesale Rates for Commercial Growers
Wholesale pricing starts at 500g per variety, saving roughly 25 to 45 percent per gram, and 40 to 60 percent at 1kg and above. Custom pricing from 5kg. Same certified seed as retail, quoted against your monthly volume.
One of Our Fastest Routes
Roughly 560km from Pune, so 2 to 3 days by express courier across Hyderabad, Secunderabad and the HITEC City corridor. Free shipping above ₹499.
A Climate That Actually Suits Microgreens
The Deccan plateau sits around 500m with moderate humidity and 20C to 35C for most of the year. Far less mould pressure than Chennai, Mumbai or Kochi, and no heat mat needed in any season.
Built for Apartment Growing
Microgreens need a rack and a bright corner, not floor area. That suits the apartment living of Gachibowli, Madhapur and Kondapur better than any other home-growing crop.

View productWholesale Microgreen Seed Rates for Hyderabad
Hyderabad's commercial microgreen scene has grown alongside its restaurant and cloud kitchen sector, and retail packs stop making sense once you are running trays weekly.
Wholesale pricing starts at 500g per variety. Below that, standard retail pack pricing applies. Per-gram savings run roughly 25 to 45 percent at 500g and 40 to 60 percent at 1kg and above, with custom pricing and lead times from 5kg. Rates depend on variety and monthly volume, so we quote against a real requirement rather than publishing a fixed list.
The seed is identical to retail. Same NPOP certification, same untreated non-GMO stock, same germination testing before dispatch. A supplier who quietly drops quality at wholesale volume is not giving you a discount, they are giving you a different product.
Typical Hyderabad wholesale buyers: commercial growers supplying restaurants in Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills and Gachibowli; cloud kitchen groups running their own grow rooms in the HITEC City corridor; hotel kitchens in Begumpet and Madhapur; and garden retailers serving the city's terrace-gardening community. At 50 trays a week you are using 1 to 1.2kg of seed a month, comfortably into the 1kg tier.

How We Test Germination, and Why It Decides Your Real Cost
Every batch is germination tested before dispatch and the result recorded. Typical figures run 85 to 96 percent depending on variety. Ask for the figure on your batch and we will give it to you.
This matters more than pack price, and the arithmetic is simple. Take radish at 10g per tray. Seed at ₹160 per 100g germinating at 96 percent costs about ₹16 per usable tray. Seed at ₹90 per 100g germinating at 70 percent needs around 14g to fill the same tray, so ₹12.60 - cheaper, until the first failure.
A failed tray does not only lose seed. It loses the cocopeat, seven to ten days of rack occupancy, the labour already spent, and any order you cannot deliver. One failure in a fifty-tray rotation erases the saving across the whole batch.
Test it yourself. Count ten seeds onto damp kitchen paper, fold it over, check after 48 hours. Eight or more sprouted is a healthy batch. Fewer than six and you should be sowing more densely or replacing it. Do this when any new batch arrives, from us or anyone else.

Delivery Across Hyderabad and Secunderabad
Seed ships from our Pune farm by express courier over roughly 560km, typically arriving in 2 to 3 business days. That makes Hyderabad one of our fastest routes outside Maharashtra. Free shipping above ₹499, which two or three 100g packs will clear.
West and IT corridor: Gachibowli, Madhapur, HITEC City, Kondapur, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Manikonda, Narsingi, Financial District and Nanakramguda.
Central: Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Begumpet, Ameerpet, Somajiguda, Punjagutta and Khairatabad.
Secunderabad and north: Secunderabad, Bowenpally, Alwal, Kompally, Medchal and Malkajgiri.
East and south: Uppal, LB Nagar, Dilsukhnagar, Nagole, Charminar, Attapur, Rajendranagar and Shamshabad.
We deliver fresh cut microgreens only within Pune. Everywhere else, Hyderabad included, buys seed and grows their own, which is fresher than anything that survives a courier anyway.
Why Hyderabad's Climate Suits Microgreens
Hyderabad sits on the Deccan plateau at around 500m, and that elevation does real work. Humidity stays moderate for most of the year, well below Chennai, Mumbai or Kochi, and mould pressure on a tray is correspondingly lower. For a crop grown in a shallow tray of damp cocopeat, that is the single most useful climate feature a city can have.
October to February - the best window. 15C to 30C, low humidity, and every variety performs. This is when to grow the slower crops: beetroot, coriander, basil and pea shoots. Hyderabad growers get better results with coriander than almost anywhere else in India.
March to June - the hot season. 38C to 43C in May. Move trays indoors away from windows, water twice daily, and shorten blackout by a day since seedlings develop faster in heat. Fast varieties only.
July to September - monsoon. Rainfall arrives but humidity stays far below coastal levels. A fan and slightly wider tray spacing is usually all the adjustment needed. Compare that with the same season in Goa, where the entire growing approach has to change.
Seed storage. Moderate humidity means an airtight container in a cool cupboard is generally enough, with silica gel a sensible addition through the monsoon. Easier than the coast, though not quite as forgiving as Delhi.

A first order of radish, sunflower and green gram comes to ₹353 and fills roughly thirty trays, which is two to three months of growing for a household. Browse the full range on the SAGreens seed shop, or compare rates nationally in our India seed price guide.
A note on the two small packs. Broccoli at 20g and purple sango radish at 25g look expensive next to the 100g packs, and per gram they are. Both are premium restaurant varieties where a tray needs far less seed, and both are usually bought as an addition to a base rotation rather than as a starting point.
Setting Up a Grow Rack in a Hyderabad Apartment
Hyderabad's apartment stock, particularly across Gachibowli, Kondapur, Manikonda and Narsingi, tends towards two and three bedroom flats with a utility balcony. That balcony is the single best microgreen location in the city for eight months of the year, and it is why setup here costs less than it does further north.
Balcony first, rack second. From October through February, and again through most of the monsoon, a shaded Hyderabad balcony gives you the airflow that indoor growers have to create with a fan. Put trays where they get bright indirect light and no direct afternoon sun. Only March to June forces everything inside.
What a first setup costs. Six shallow trays with drainage, a solid tray underneath for bottom-watering, a bag of cocopeat and three 100g seed packs comes to roughly ₹900 to ₹1,200 and keeps producing for two to three months. A steel rack is worth adding only once you are past four trays a week.
Skip the equipment you will be sold. No heat mat: nowhere in Telangana gets cold enough to need one. No grow lights, unless you are growing in an interior room with no window. No hydroponic mats, which cost more than cocopeat and perform no better for the varieties most people start with.
Cocopeat over garden soil, always. Cocopeat drains properly, carries far less fungal load, and is produced in quantity across south India so it is cheap here. Soil in a shallow tray holds water and brings weed seed and spores with it, which is the most common reason a first tray fails.
Stagger your sowing. Three or four trays a few days apart beats six trays on one day. You get a rolling harvest and you learn how your particular balcony behaves before committing to a routine. Our beginner seeds guide walks through a first month.
Selling Microgreens in Hyderabad: What the Market Looks Like
Hyderabad's microgreen market has grown alongside its restaurant scene and its IT corridor, and the two pull in different directions.
Restaurants and hotels. Concentrated in Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Gachibowli and Madhapur. The city has an unusually high density of independent chef-owned restaurants alongside the hotel groups, and independents decide faster. A good sample delivered in person often closes the sale without any formal onboarding.
Cloud kitchens and hotel grow rooms. The HITEC City corridor has significant cloud kitchen capacity, and several operations now grow their own garnish rather than buying it in, which makes them seed customers rather than produce customers.
Apartment subscriptions. Gated communities in Gachibowli, Kondapur, Manikonda and Narsingi support weekly subscription boxes well, since density means one delivery run serves many households. This is the most accessible starting point and needs no restaurant relationship at all.
The terrace-gardening community. Hyderabad has one of the most active home-growing communities in India, which cuts both ways. It means a large, informed retail seed market, and it means your produce customers may eventually become growers themselves. Several of our Hyderabad wholesale accounts started as home growers who scaled.
What it costs to start. A 50-tray weekly rotation producing around 10kg a month, sold at an average of ₹140 per 100g, brings roughly ₹14,000 monthly revenue before costs, with seed at ₹2,000 to ₹4,000. Our cost and profit guide has the rack economics, and the Bangalore business guide covers a comparable south Indian market in more detail.
FSSAI. Selling commercially requires registration: Basic Registration under ₹12 lakh turnover at ₹100 a year, State Licence above that. Our guide to untreated seed for commercial growers covers what buyers and inspectors ask for.
How Much Seed to Order, and How Often
Hyderabad sits in a comfortable middle on seed storage. Drier than the coast, more humid than Delhi, which means you can buy in reasonable quantity without the refrigeration routine Mumbai and Kochi growers need, but you should not treat a sack as a year's supply either.
A practical rule for this city: order what you will finish in four to six months, and add silica gel to your containers between July and September. Outside the monsoon, an airtight jar in a cool cupboard is genuinely enough.
One or two trays a week. Two or three varieties in 100g packs. Radish at 10g a tray means one pack is ten trays, so a single order lasts a household most of a season.
Four to six trays a week. Three or four varieties at 100g to 200g each, reordering roughly every two months. Every order clears the free-shipping threshold at this point, so it stops being a consideration.
Twenty-five trays a week. Around 1 to 1.2kg a month across your mix. This is where wholesale tiers begin to matter and where per-gram pricing starts affecting margin rather than grocery spend.
A hundred trays a week. 4 to 5kg a month. Order against a rolling three-month forecast and keep a buffer of your two highest-volume varieties so a courier delay never halts production.
Shelf life. Kept airtight and cool, most varieties hold good germination for two to three years, radish and mustard longest, coriander and spinach shortest. Test any pack open more than six months before committing a full sowing. Our storage and shelf life guide lists viability by variety.
Microgreens in Hyderabadi Cooking
Microgreens land more easily in Hyderabadi food than in most Indian regional cuisines, because so much of the local repertoire already finishes with something fresh and sharp against something rich and slow-cooked.
Biryani and haleem. Both are long-cooked, heavily spiced and deeply savoury, and both are traditionally served with a cooling counterpoint. A small handful of radish or mustard microgreens scattered at the table does what a raw onion and mint salan does, with more texture and considerably more nutrition. Add them after serving, never during cooking.
Pesarattu. The green gram dosa is already a moong dish, which makes green gram microgreens the most natural pairing in this entire list. Scatter them over the pesarattu with the ginger and onion, or fold them into the upma filling.
Mirchi ka salan and baghara baingan. Rich, nutty, sesame and peanut heavy. Coriander microgreens carry more aroma than chopped mature dhania and hold up better against that weight.
Irani chai cafes and the breakfast trade. Osmania biscuits aside, the city has a large cafe breakfast culture built on omelettes, keema pav and toast, all of which take a microgreen garnish without any menu rewrite. This is the easiest first sale a new Hyderabad grower can make.
The practical rule. Heat destroys both the texture and much of the vitamin C. Everything above is a finishing garnish added off the flame, not an ingredient cooked into the dish.
